Ship crane
Huisman Company is one of the manufacturers of Pedestal Mounted Cranes. The products of this brand are used for tasks such as unloading of supply vessels, offshore installation work, pipe transfer, deck handling, and subsea installation. Huisman’s Pedestal Mounted Crane can be characterized by its small tail swing. By this means, the free space on the deck is increased. In addition, all the drivers are located inside the enclosed crane house.
The various parts of The Huisman Pedestal Mounted Crane (PMC) include the following:
- A house made of steel and screwed to the base through a bearing
- The boom is lattice or box girder.
- Different types of hoist tackles are used to control the boom and lower blocks.
One of the features of this model is that the maintenance is undemanding, and it is well-protected. For this purpose, all the key equipment including the winch, electrical cabinets, and hydraulic power units are located inside the crane house. As a result, this equipment is protected against the weather conditions of the sea. The boom hoist runs from the top of the crane house to the boom tip and controls the radius of the lower blocks.
